What I support

Did you know that the Mayor of Belmont doesn’t technically get a vote in most decisions made by the City Council, unless it’s a tie? While I would love to say that I can fix all of the issues of Belmont and create a vision for our future in this City, I simply can’t. Plus, it’s not about me…it’s about you. The Mayor is there to listen, to support and to be a representative for the people, not to push a personal agenda.

But what the Mayor does have is a VOICE. And I plan to use my voice to echo your needs and hold our government accountable for the decisions they make on your behalf with full transparency. In other words, I’m here to work for you. I don’t report to a political party; at the end of the day, I report to you, the citizens of Belmont.

Here’s what I promise to support and use my voice to represent:

  • Equal Representation for Every Citizen - Right now there are populations within our City who are not being heard and represented. I am a firm believer in diversity, inclusion and equity, and will ensure every resident feels seen and welcomed in our community. Our individual backgrounds and lifestyles are what makes this community special.

  • Recognition of All Areas of Belmont - If you live in any part of Belmont, you deserve to have support. Whether that’s improved infrastructure, proper business and residential development, grant funds, etc. every area of Belmont should be included. For too long there has only been emphasis on select, affluent areas of the City, effectively leaving others out. A community can only be strong as a unit, not individual pieces.

  • Transparency & Accountability - Our local government has spent years making empty promises, serving their own agenda, telling you everything you want to hear and not being transparent in their decision-making. That needs to end now, because you deserve better. I will do what others won’t: I’ll hold City Council accountable for their actions and decisions, and keep you informed as tax-paying Belmont residents with regular updates.

  • Smart Development - every candidate will tell you they are for smart development, but how many are willing to do what’s truly best for the city’s future? Without growth, small businesses will leave, taxes will go up, and the traffic will still be there. Developers can and should help improve the infrastructure of Belmont, and numerous small businesses planting roots here means Belmont succeeds. We can do it right.

  • Thriving & Vibrant City Initiatives - as an artist, I’m all about culture, art, color, green spaces and bringing things to life. Belmont has the potential to not only be an attractive destination for tourists, but to be a haven of vibrancy for residents. Murals, dog parks, splash pads, playgrounds, connection greenways, bike lanes! I’m here for them all, and much more.

We can make this happen, together. Let’s do it.
